With more than three decades of experience in international education, diplomacy, government, and commerce, Jimm Crowder provides expertise to colleges and universities in international admissions and financial aid, study abroad, international student services, and comprehensive institutional planning requiring an international focus.
Jimm was the director of international student programs and the director of international admissions for 25 years at Macalester College, where he was instrumental in developing a comprehensive international program that is widely considered as a model for American colleges and universities.
Jimm began his international career as a Peace Corps volunteer in Micronesia and later worked for Peace Corps Washington, the Department of State, and as the Director of two English Language schools. Jimm has served as a consultant to the governments of Australia, Cyprus, Namibia, New Zealand, the United Nations, the U.S. Department of State, the Carter Center, and to several diplomatic missions. He has conducted training workshops for U.S. Consular officials and Fulbright personnel and has represented American higher education at hundreds of college night programs worldwide. Jimm has also served on the Board of Deans for the Africa America Foundation and International Baccalaureate North America.
Jimm received a B.A. and M.A. at Virginia Tech with post graduate work at the University of North Carolina.
